My Rhythmic Passion For Music
According to Jean Sibelius, "Music begins where the possibilities of language end". Hey there, my fellow classmates! Today, I am excited to share my passion for music which is not only close to my heart but also keeps me alive with joy throughout my daily life. It is the thing that gives me pleasure in the realm of mechanical life.
From the moment I wake up to the minute I fall asleep, music is an inseparable part of my life. Whenever life seems dull and boring, music wakes me up with new inspiration. Whether it is the soothing sound of piano, violin or the aggressive sound of electric guitar, drums, music has always found a way to get into my heart and touch it like nothing else. I bet that many of you can also relate to this experience.
Though I am not a professional singer, my attraction towards music forced me to learn it and my parents were also supportive and admitted me to the music school. I cannot remember when the learning started but I can say that it will continue until the end of my life. Growing up, I was introduced to various genres of music like the Classical melodies, the Nazrul and Rabindra Sangeet, the Western music of 70's and the Electrifying Pop Music of 80's etc. Each song tells a story, captures different emotions that words cannot convert into feelings. It feels like having a conversation with the artists. With the tones of highs and lows, it seems like they are right there with you.
Apart from singing, I also started to learn some musical instruments like the harmonium, tabla, guitar etc which enriched my sense of music much more. I learned that it is not just about listening but also finding the feelings in between the rhythms and lyrics. It is incredible how music becomes a canvas of my emotions, allows me to paint my feelings with the chords and rhythms. Memorable moments are the late-night jams with my beloved friends and family members. When melodies flow freely, the harmonies seem to find their own way and express their feelings delightfully.
In my opinion music is not a particular thing but it is a connection between huge amounts of feelings. I have made some of my closest friends through a shared love for a particular band or a mutual appreciation for any kind of specific genre. Sometimes we talk about the lyrics of our favourite songs and also attend musical concerts that enrich our musical knowledge.
Music seems to me like a time capsule that takes us back to our memories and emotions. It is attached to our heart and soul. Sometimes a song can give us the feeling of happiness and sometimes it can also bring tears to our eyes. That is the beauty of music which grows with us by shaping and reshaping itself according to the chapters of our lives.
Music is just not a form of art form; it can also be used as a powerful tool to express our emotions. From the history we can see that music has created a new path to express the feelings of human beings. In times of struggle and wars music has created a new dimension in the path of enhancing energy and hopes. In the war of independence in 1971, music helped the people of Bangladesh to fight with unity and also became a way to spread the news to the outside world. Music creates a bridge between the shared feelings of different people.
I also have to mention the magic of performances I have experienced whether I am on stage or in the audience. Attending a live concert is like stepping into another dimension of music. The energy of the crowd, the lights, the synchronized beats and vocals are like an experience of pure joy. It is the place where you can lose yourself and find yourself in a different way.
In times of loneliness music gives me a nice company. A stressful day can be relieved by listening to the favourite songs. Music has the power of healing. Some lessons also can be learned by listening to good music which may act as a guidance in our daily lives.
So, next time when you plug in your headphones or sing your favourite song, do not just listen or sing the song but also let yourself drown in the melody and let the music guide you.
