Shakib Al Hasan: Bangladesh's Golden Boy

Shakib Al Hasan, an ordinary boy from Magura, became the world's number one all-rounder. He is a  batting master and a bowling wizard, and became the soul of Bangladesh's cricket.


Shakib started his international career at the age of 19 against Zimbabwe. As a batsman he has scored more than 5,000 runs in 144 ODI innings,  2,832 runs in 117 T20 innings and  4,454 runs in 66 TEST matches. As a bowler he took 305 wickets in ODI,140 wickets in T20, 233 wickets in TEST matches.


In addition to his cricketing skills, Shakib-Al-Hasan is a national role model too. He has shown his philanthropic side during the Covid times. On 8 may 2023, He has established Shakib-Al-Hasan Cancer Foundation to help under privileged patients. Moreover, He built a cricket academy with world class facilities named Masco Shakib Cricket Academy to attract young star in the 22-yards pitch. 



Here are a few fascinating facts about Shakib Al Hasan:

    1.Before his debut, he played 3 matches and scored 129 runs.
    2.He is the 6th youngest test-captain.
    3.He played in every franchise premier leagues.
    4.He is the only player who scored 6,000 runs and took more than 270 wickets in ODI.
    5.He is a UNICEF  Ambassador (Goodwill).
    6.He was cricketer of the year (2016).
    7.In a single world cup tournament, he is the only player who scored 1000 runs and took        more than 100 wickets.



Although, fast bowlers could not take the wicket of the world's number one all-rounder but Umme Ahmed Shishir bowled the master batsman in December 12, 2012.Now he is the father of 3 children named Alayna Al Hasan, Errum Al Hasan, Eyzah Al Hasan.

Finally, Shakib-Al-Hasan is a true gem of the game, and we hope the handsome cricketer will keep entertaining and inspiring his all-aged fans for many years to come.
