It is a very significant event among all the football playing countries of the world. Out of so many sports competitions this tournament is anticipated the most. FIFA world cup 2022 is the latest world cup football and it lived up to its glory. It served a great memory and forced us to remember its glorifying past moments.
FIFA World Cup, in football, tournament that determines the sport's world champion. The biggest Stadiums was Lusail at Doha capacity of 88,966 fans. Furthermore, Qatar offered free metro for all which was linked near stadiums for fast transportation. A world awaited for the most expensive tournament ever organized which is nearly 220 billions $ of worth.
The date was at November which is an unusual date for such an event but for high temperature weather it was scheduled near winter. Great players from every continent clashes against one another with emasculate sportsmanship and matured skills. Also teams like Brazil and Argentina are most supported as always. While European powerhouses like France, Spain, England, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, Belgium, Netherlands and many more. Also teams from all 6 continents. Despite France were world champions Brazil were the favourites to win. Surprisingly Italy the European champion didn't even qualify for the world cup. Players like Mbappe, Harry Kane, Müller , Modrić and many more were to be considered excellence at their positions. But the world was eager for the performances of Argentine genius Messi and Portugese maestro Christiano Ronaldo because they are considered the best players on the planet. Within 8 groups each consisting 4 teams begun the journey on claiming a star on their jersey regarding the name Champion of the world.
At last the date was 20th november and whole world eagerly awaits for every matches.As most of the world watch the game through broadcast the commentators play their best parts. They really display the game in a poetic manner specially the british commentators Peter Drury, Sam Matterface and many more who just creates an epic environment for all. A game so enjoyable to watch with a poetic commentary adds the final flavour. Qatar the host lost all of their group games and from group A the Dutch and Senegal qualified for next stage. From the group b the mighty England qualified with a huge win of 6-1 over Iran and a win over Wales suprinsingly drawing with the U.S.A. who were qualified. At group C the record of 36 unbeaten games Argentinian team lost to Saudi causing a massive upset surprisingly Argentina topped the group and Saudi failed to qualify but Poland qualified leaving Mexico. At group D France topped the group but lost to Tunisia causing another upset and Australia surprisingly joined the next round. At group E the group consisting Spain, Germany, Japan, Costa Rica created massive shock. Japan won against both Spain and Germany by 2-1 but lost to Costa Rica. Where Japan topped the group and Spain qualified due to Goal difference for 7-0 victory. At group F another accident happened as Morocco topped the group along with Croatia while Belgium were knocked out alongside Canada. Group F Portugal qualifies alongside South Korea where Portugal lost to Korean and Uruguay were knocked out. Finally, at group G Brazil and Switzerland qualified But Brazil lost to Cameroon at their final game. For the first time ever in a World cup every team had lost at least a game during their journey. Cristiano Ronaldo became the first ever to score in 5 consecutive world cups by scoring against Ghana in the group stage.

A win will lead you to Quarter Final and one loss and you are out And hence it happened. Netherlands ruled out the U.S., Argentina defeated Australia in a close match where Messi scored his Croatia defeated Japan in penalties , Brazil knocked out Korea where Neymar scored from getting out of injury, France knocked Poland where Mbappe scored twice England beat Senegal, Portugal destroyed Switzerland by 6-1 where Ramos scored the first Hattrck of the tournament but the Morocco surprised the world by beating Spain in penalties by 3-0. The game was set to be more challenging from then. At Quarter finals Croatia shocked the world by defeating Brazil on penalties and moved to the semis on the same night the world saw another Europe Latin continental clash among the Dutch and Argentines where Netherlands equalized after they were 2 goals behind in 100th minutes in injury time and after additional extra time and the game was so intense that the referee showed a record of 16 Yellow cards and 1 red card at Lusail. At the 3rd Quarter final Morocco upsets the Portugese to become the 1st African nation to become semi finalists and the last Quarter Final had won by France where England captain Harry Kane missed a decisive penalty in between 90 minutes of play. As the semi final was set and between Argentina and Croatia and the other was between France and Morocco. Messi was the record World cup Goal scorer for Argentina in the world cup. The semi final was to be set with hypes.
“To be the best you have to defeat the best”. The 1st semi Final was between last two world cup runner ups where both teams had an equal chance to be the winner. Despite being a 35 year old Lionel Messi was constant goal scorer in this world cup. He scored in every rounds till the semis and became man of the match. He scored a brace penalty in the semis an provided an wonderful assist for Julian who scored 2 goals and won by 3-0. Messi was the top scorer along with Kylian mbappe and most assists along with Griezmann. The other Semi final was won by France by 2-0 ending the magic run of Morocco. The 3rd place was a formal match between Croatia and Morocco where Croatia won 2-1 to become the 3rd. After all of those matches the final was set Argentina vs France. Argentina was captained by Messi and surrounded by young players and France aiming for their consecutive success. A final between two of the best footballing nation both with same number of trophies to be crowned the 3rd title.
World cup is the place where impossible goals are scored live. If goals are beautiful so are the after goal celebrations with wide arms celebration from messi to brazilian samba dance and also the worldwide known Sui celebration of the great Christiano Ronaldo. After 36 years Argentina were champions again. It is amazing when a 90 minutes game can have so many emotions despite the diversity of cultures. People watched eagerly and felt the emotion. A game that the world witnessed. Lionel Messi who lost every international final for his country regained victory. A final worthy of its name. Messi became the player with most appearances in world cup and the best player of the tournament twice. Messi as a player turned into a fairytale journey. Mbappe was the golden boot winner. Also this world cup had the record for most goals scored in a single tournament. The fireworks lighted the sky. It was sad but a very great experience some cried the tears of joy and some sorrow as the stage was over. A script like no other. People will go to their daily lives and problems but they will never forget the scenes of Qatar world cup and specially its final. We will remember it as the Greatest Show on Earth, the FIFA World cup Qatar 2022.
